Parades Continue From Mardi Gras Into St. Patrick’s Day

Posted on Mar 11, 2011 in Local Issues, NOPD

Although many New Orleanians are just beginning to recover from partying during Mardi Gras, Carnival's late start this year means that within 4 days of Fat Tuesday more parades are on their way this weekend. This year as usual, New Orleans will be swept up in a sea of green block parties and parades from Metairie to the Irish Channel starting Friday March 11 with Jim Monaghan's Annual Irish Parade at 6:30pm in the Quarter. While St. Patrick's Day in New Orleans can be a blast, it is important to remember that we are coming out of a week that saw 825 alcohol citations across the city and countless other arrests. It is very important to exercise responsible drinking during and after parades in the city. If you or someone you know were cited or arrested over Mardi Gras or St. Patrick's Day, contact Bloom Legal at 504-599-9997 for a case evaluation to discuss how we may be able to help.
