Should I Represent Myself In Court?

One should never represent themselves, you know, in any sort of criminal procedure. In fact, we recommend people get an attorney for something as simple as a traffic ticket. You may say say: Well, I can’t afford an attorney. You’re going to pay more in the end whether it’s a traffic ticket or a DWI.

A DWI is an enhanceable offense. It’s a serious misdemeanor. You’re talking about your freedom, you’re talking about your ability to drive a vehicle, you’re ability of how this is going to affect your employment, your record. You need to have a lawyer that knows what they’re doing to handle this from start to finish.

You probably don’t quality for a public defender for a DWI because this is a misdemeanor and probably your income situation, so you really need to get someone who knows what they’re doing so that’s the most important part.

"I contacted Bloom Legal out of the blue with a strange question for a fiction series I’m writing that takes place in New Orleans. Being from Maryland I was in the dark and needed assistance and they jumped at the chance to help me (they were the only law firm that responded to my e-mail). His team worked quickly and carefully to find the information I needed. Because of the help they provided it changed a large aspect of my novel and for that I am very grateful."
