The New Orleans Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating 12-year-old Maiah Sylvester reported missing today, from her residence at 4645 Berkley Drive. According to investigators, Maiah was last seen by her mother, Ms. Jamie Mack, taking out the trash shortly after 6:00 P.M. Ms Mack stated that this behavior is uncharacteristic of Maiah and she has not seen or heard from her since. Maiah Slyvester is described as an African-American female, 5'2", approximately 130 pounds, last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and brown boots. Anyone with information that can help locate Maiah Slyvester should contact the New Orleans Police Department at 821-2222.
