The New Orleans Police Department issued a statement today indicating that crime statistics for the 4-day period surrounding and including the Bayou Classic were down from 2009. This news comes amidst reports of the fatal shooting of two men in the Downtown area which police suspect was the result of an ongoing feud which originated in Baton Rouge.
