Do Police Have A Quota For Traffic Tickets?

Police do not usually publish the fact that they have quotas for traffic tickets, but traffic ticket, traffic ticket revenues is a huge source especially for many small parishes around New Orleans.

There’s been many articles across the country and across the state about police officers that are getting punished for not writing enough traffic tickets, but when you imagine that each of these tickets are an average of $250-$400 writing a few of those certainly pays for them, pays for their cars, and a lot of that money is used by the city, I think with camera tickets, which we don’t do, that are not actually moving violations in Louisiana, I believe the city of New Orleans last year made 18 plus million dollars on that so it is something that it is a significant revenue generator for municipalities.

Seth took on my case and treated me like a person instead of a client. He made a difficult situation very easy. I am very thankful for Seth and his team!"
