The escape occurred about 3 p.m. Sunday. "The reason for the escape seems to be human error for not following established procedures in place at the Sheriff's Office," a news release stated. Knight was recaptured on Monday, said Marc Ehrhardt, a spokesman for the Sheriff's Office. Ehrhardt would not release information about how Knight was apprehended, saying it would compromise the office's investigation. Knight, 40, was arrested on suspicion of theft of goods worth $500 and criminal trespassing, according to the Sheriff's Office.
