NOPD officer suspended after DWI early Sunday morning

NOPD officer, Thomas Ripp, was placed under an emergency suspension after being arrested for a DWI and crashing into a cement light pole early Sunday morning. A post-accident ticket shows he tested above the legal limit. Mr. Ripp was arrested and it shows he most recently was working for the Homicide division of the NOPD.
