New Orleans man pleads guilty to 3rd offense DWI, gets jail time

Joshua Bruce, of New Orleans, was sentenced to jail time after being convicted of a 3rd offense DWI from a Causeway accident a year ago. Bruce was noticed by a Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Deputy swerving across lanes and eventually hit a guardrail. He was pulled over and noticeably intoxicated, swaying back and forth, and was placed under arrest for DWI. He was sentenced to 5 years in jail, with four of the years suspended. His one year in jail, he is not eligible for parole, suspension, or probation.
