New Orleans Courts Closed on Monday

Posted on Nov 1, 2010 in Local Issues, NOPD

In honor of All Saints' Day, New Orleans Courts will remain closed today. This means that anyone arrested over the weekend will have to wait until tomorrow to make any first appearances in court before a judge. If someone you know was arrested over the weekend for any reason (we know there was a lot of partying to be done at Voodoo, the Saints Game, Halloween, etc), it is important to keep in mind that they will not be able to be released until tomorrow. While this can be a difficult situation for tourists, visitors, and locals alike, Bloom Legal is here to help. At Bloom Legal we understand what it means to have a good time and how great a place to party New Orleans can be. While we do not condone reckless or irresponsible behavior, if for some reason things got out of hand and you know was arrested over the weekend, contact Bloom Legal immediately at 504-599-9997 to take the steps necessary to get them released from jail in as timely a manner as possible.
