A Metairie man was arrested Monday for DWI and drug possession on Bayou Savage. A witness complained they saw a man who they believed to be impaired try to launch a boat into Bayou Savage. Once George Girard, 31, returned, the agents noticed impairment and asked to search the search, which he consented. The agents found marijuana and a small bag of a white powdery substance. Girard then failed the sobriety tests and was booked on DWI and drug possession.
