Kenner City Council Committee to Meet About Regulations for Alcoholic Beverage Outlets

Posted on Aug 12, 2010 in DUI/DWI, Local Issues

A committee created by the Kenner City Council last week, after a proposal to require bars to close between 2 am and 6 am was voted down, will be meeting for the first time this Monday. The committee will be discussing instances of crime near alcoholic beverage outlets in the early mornings. While it is unclear exactly what will be on the docket, there remains a possibility that the City Council may soon issue new policies limiting the hours during which alcohol can be made available for sale. The committee's primary concern appears to be reducing instances of drunk driving and reckless operation. While we certainly do not condone this type of behavior, should you or someone you know get behind the wheel after a night at the bar and get arrested or charged with a DUI/DWI, Bloom Legal is here to provide assistance to you in getting all of your affairs back in order.
