Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy resigned after arrest for drunk driving

Christopher Hyer, a deputy at the JPSO resigned from his position under investigation of crashing his patrol car while intoxicated. Hyer was booked with DWI and improper control of a vehicle.
Sheriff’s Office officials originally placed Hyer on suspension until he resigned from the department late last week.
