The pair would sell the stolen cars to salvage companies on the West Bank under their real identities, which led the police to put out a warrant for Joseph's arrest. It was the father's attempt to steal $600 worth of power tools from a residence on Clearview Parkway that led to his arrest. Joseph was also identified as the man on a residential surveillance camera stealing power tools on a seperate occasion. The two would use the money to support Jessica's heroin addiction.
