Don’t Get Caught with a Warrant During a Storm

However, another concern which may not cross your mind is the potential for arrest when you have an outstanding warrant during a hurricane or tropical storm. During Hurricane Katrina, numerous citizens were caught in jail for minor offenses or warrants while conditions around them, including the courts and police force, deteriorated rapidly. As always, we strongly advise against drinking and driving and advise against breaking any laws, especially when there is a natural disaster on its way.
