Police found the vehicle and the driver unconscious in the back seat. The officer resulted to breaking the rear window to access the driver fearing for her safety and found a cup containing an unidentified alcoholic drink. Refusing to take a breath test, a warrant was obtained for a blood sample and Reuther was booked in Gretna with DWI, hit and run, aggravated obstruction of a highway and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
