As Seen in NOLA.com: Prominent New Orleanians Volunteer at Ukraine Border
“Honored to be featured in NOLA.com for joining other New Orleanians at the Ukraine-Poland border to help feed and support refugees displaced by the Russian invasion.” – Seth Bloom
What the Story Covered
The NOLA.com feature described how Gary Solomon Jr., Richard Carbo, and I traveled to Przemyśl, Poland, near a major border crossing, to volunteer at a relief center for Ukrainian refugees. Each day, hundreds of meals were prepared and served in what was once a grocery store converted into a shelter, housing families who had fled the war.
Why This Matters in Louisiana
Although the work took place thousands of miles from New Orleans, the values at the heart of this mission are the same values that guide Bloom Legal Network. Just as volunteers stepped up to provide dignity and aid to families in need abroad, BLN is committed to standing beside our community here in Southeast Louisiana. Whether supporting clients in Orleans Parish or Jefferson Parish, or lending a hand during times of disaster, our mission is rooted in service, empathy, and justice.
