In a 911 correspondence, Jace reportedly said, “I shot my wife.” Thereafter, police officers were dispatched to the home where they found April, Jace’s wife, shot dead. The bond has been set at $1 million. According to those familiar with the matter, the couple’s two small children had been in the house during the shooting. The two children have been placed in their grandmother’s care for the time being. April’s brother, Carlo Laune, was especially caught off guard by the news. He claims that he had no idea that the couple had been fighting. “This is more than a shock,” Laune stated in an interview. “It’s out of this world.” It appears as though Jace may have to spend time in jail due to recent financial issues. In 2011, Jace filed for bankruptcy. He listed debts, including his Hyde Park home, at a value between $500,000 and $1 million. Furthermore, Jace owes thousands in income tax and back taxes.
