New Orleans Attorney Seth J. Bloom, Esq.

Seth J. Bloom moved to New Orleans in 2000 to attend Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, drawn by family ties and a sense of purpose. He has lived in the city for more than 25 years and practiced law for over 20. After earning his Juris Doctor and serving on the law school’s Honor Board, he began his career alongside seasoned New Orleans criminal defense and personal injury attorneys, while building hands-on experience in real estate investment — a foundation that would later shape his approach to business and litigation matters.

In 2004, he founded Bloom Legal in the Warehouse District of New Orleans. A year later, Hurricane Katrina devastated the region. Bloom Legal became a dependable local resource through the recovery years, helping residents and small business owners work through insurance disputes, property claims, and criminal matters. That period set the firm’s enduring mission: responsive, community-rooted representation when Louisiana families and businesses need it most.
Over the two decades since, Bloom Legal has built a reputation across the region for steady, capable advocacy in criminal defense, business, and civil matters — grounded in a commitment to accessible, client-first representation.

Community Leadership & Public Service

Seth’s commitment to New Orleans extends well beyond the courtroom. Believing that real progress starts with local leadership, he was elected to public office and has served on civic, cultural, and educational boards for over twenty years:

Touro Synagogue — Board Member (2025–present)
Travis Hill School Advisory Board — Board Member (2017–present)
New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) — Board Member (2012–present)

The Evolution of Bloom Legal

After years of traditional firm practice, Seth stepped back to focus on legal technology and operations, serving as Senior Director at Levelset, a New Orleans-based legal technology company, through its acquisition. The experience gave him a close-up view of how technology, workflow, and operational discipline can sharpen the way legal work gets done.

In 2025, he relaunched Bloom Legal as a boutique firm built on a single principle: clients should work directly with a senior attorney from start to finish. The firm pairs that direct, personal representation with modern tools and operational depth — handling each matter with focused attention rather than passing it down a chain of associates.

Seth also serves as co-counsel on ERISA class action litigation in partnership with firms across the country.
