What Happens If I Have Unpaid Traffic Tickets?

Unpaid traffic tickets usually result in a bench warrant from New Orleans or from Jefferson Parish. These are the types of warrants where they don’t knock down your door in the middle of the night, but what they do do is they’ll suspend your license and they’ll put a warrant out for your arrest.

So if you get pulled over with unpaid traffic tickets it’s discretionary or, in many cases, the officer will arrest you. It’s very embarrassing. I’ve represented nurses, teachers, doctors, lawyers, professionals from all sorts of walks of life that have actually been arrested because they have unpaid traffic tickets.

It’ll also skyrocket your insurance because your license will be suspend, so it’s really a major problem.
