[caption id="attachment_5866" align="alignnone" width="660"] Photo courtesy of www.theadvocate.com[/caption] Charles Landrum, of Baton Rouge, was convicted Wednesday of a 5th DWI and is now facing from 10 to 30 years in prison. Landrum was arrested in 2012 after he was spotted driving with a gas station pump and hose sticking out of his gas tank. The jury deliberated less than 30 minutes and came back with a unanimous vote of guilty. He had previous convictions from several parishes all over Louisiana from 1999, 2000, and 2007, of which he was still on probation when he was arrested in 2012. Landrum was registered with a .124 when he was picked up in a Chase bank parking lot. He had told the jury he consumed some liquor after parking the car in the parking lot and was not operating the vehicle at the time of his arrest. Prior to stopping in the bank parking lot, he went to a convenience store and put the pump in the tank. The convenience store clerk testified that she refused to serve him alcohol because he had appeared intoxicated when he entered the store. He will likely remain in custody until his March sentencing date.
