Metairie man arrested after passing out in McDonald’s with child
Posted on Aug 13, 2015 in Criminal Defense
A Metairie man, Troy Norman, was arrested last Friday afternoon after passing out at a Gretna McDonald’s with a child in a stroller. The man strolled the baby into the McDonald’s and employees became concerned when he was slumped over the table while the child was crying loudly next to him. After several attempts to wake the man, the employees contacted the police. The JPSO has trouble waking the man and once roused, Norman had slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet, and smelled of alcohol. JPSO believe he may have been more than intoxicated on alcohol at the time. The baby was determined to be Norman’s girlfriend’s granddaughter, who was returned to the parents. Norman was charged with disturbing the peace-drunk and child desertion. He was held on being a fugitive from another jurisdiction and open warrants.
