Man arrested for DWI, vehicular homicide in fatal crash in New Orleans East

A man, Darnell Harrison, was arrested Sunday evening after a crash that killed a motorcyclist in New Orleans East. He was cited for DWI, failure to yield, and vehicular homicide. The victim, a 39-year-old man, was pronounced dead on the scene. His name is not being released until the family has been notified. The victim was driving down Chef Menteur Highway when Mr. Harrison swerved into the right lane and the victim crashed into the back of his vehicle.
