In the absence of Legal Committee Chairman, Seth Bloom, the Orleans Parish School Board approved the appeal of the Inspector General audit of the Board. Prior to Tuesday’s vote, Bloom, Usdin, and Koppel agreed that approving an audit would allow transparency in the Board, which has been a point of contention in prior years. The OPSB also voted to put the school building plan out for public bid, which proposals will be released December 1st.
