Seth J. Bloom, Esq.

In 2004, Seth J. Bloom, Esq. founded Bloom Legal in the historic Warehouse District of New Orleans. Bloom Legal is a full-service law firm that represents clients in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury, property and insurance law, and oil spill litigation. Mr. Bloom is an accomplished New Orleans criminal defense and personal injury attorney with years of experience helping those who need him the most.

Mr. Bloom is a native of Jacksonville, Florida and he obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. After college, his family roots brought him to New Orleans where he attended Loyola University Law School to obtain his Juris Doctorate. While attending law school, he served on the Honor Board. Following law school, Mr. Bloom worked for a real estate investment company, as well as several criminal defense and personal injury lawyers before founding his own law firm.

Mr. Bloom has called New Orleans home for more than 13 years. Mr. Bloom started the firm to offer legal service to clients facing criminal charges or seeking assistance with personal injury cases, wrongful death claims, insurance disputes or landlord-tenant problems. Since its inception, the firm has continually embraced advanced technologies and tools to expand the professional quality legal representation that is provided to clients.

Community Involvement

Seth Bloom is actively involved in the New Orleans community. In October of 2008, Mr. Bloom was elected to the New Orleans Parish School Board for District 5, and he remains a school board member today. Mr. Bloom ran unopposed in the 2012 election and continues to work diligently to improve the lives of children in the New Orleans area. He also serves on the board of the New Orleans Film Society and the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts.

Mr. Bloom was a New Orleans civil sheriff from 2004 to 2010. His firm, Bloom Legal, has partnered with the New Orleans Pro Bono Project to help citizens who are unable to afford legal representation. The New Orleans Pro Bono Project works with law firms, like Bloom Legal, to provide legal counsel to those in the community who need it most.

Mr. Bloom is also part of the Jewish congregation at Touro Synagogue, as well as an active member at the Jewish Community Center (JCC).
