Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University. During her years at LSU she volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), representing the best interests of abused and neglected children. It was while working as a CASA that Lauren realized her passion and commitment for public interest work—a a passion and commitment that has continued throughout law school and her career.
In 2007, Lauren attained her Juris Doctorate from Loyola College of Law and joined the Orleans Public Defenders Office as a staff attorney. There, she represented indigent clients for over eight years. In 2015, Lauren’s commitment to serving indigent clients continued, bringing her knowledge and skill to the St. Tammany Parish Public Defenders Office. Lauren joined Louisiana’s Center for Children’s Rights. in 2016 where she continues to fight for justice.
Lauren became part of the Bloom Legal team in 2019, where she continues to fight passionately for the people of the greater New Orleans area.
