Pam Anderson married Paris Hilton’s exboyfriend (and Shannon Doherty’s ex-husband) last October, and now she’s filed suit, asking a court to annul her marriage to Rick Salomon.

Well, Britney Spears’ two boys have not seen their mother since mid-January, and it’s not clear if they are going to be able to be near their mom anytime soon. Reuters reports that the Commissioner (aka judge) presiding over the Kevin Federline – Britney Spears custody fight has denied her request to alter his ruling from last month and there’s not any word on when that bar to Britney having any access to her boys will change.
Still, despite all the news stories – drug use, bipolar disorder, rehab, 5150 stays, reckless driving – where’s Child Protective Services in all this? Shouldn’t they be involved here? Continue Reading »

Barron Hilton, Paris Hilton’s kid brother, got busted for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) early yesterday morning – the time of his Malibu arrest was 8:05 a.m. Seems Barron took a breathilizer (did he check with his lawyer first? I doubt it) and blew a .14 (.08 is the legal limit). In the car with him, an unidentified girl and a fake ID. Sounds like Barron had a wild night, right?

First, condolences to the family and friends of Heath Ledger. While the world lost a great talent, you have additionally lost a loved one – a father, son, friend – and our well wishes and prayers go out to you.
Second, there is something to be learned from this unexpected and untimely passing of a young (28) man — death can happen to anyone, at anytime, and not being realistically prepared for that can have devestating consequences for your family.

Matthew McConaughey has posted the news on his site this morning that his girlfriend Camilla Alves is pregnant — he’s very excited, writing that “… we are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God,” and that the pregnancy is about three months along.
Meanwhile, TMZ is reporting that an ex-girlfriend of David Spade has announced that she is pregnant with Spade’s child — Spade has responded that yes, they dated and yes, he’ll take responsibility if it’s his child.

The story is still unfolding on Dr. Phil’s entry into the Britney Spears storyline, as TMZ is reporting today that Britney’s parents, Jamie and Lynn Spears, appeared via their family representative on NBC’s Today show to refute that anyone gave Dr. Phil the authority to say anything about Britney, and that they declined an invitation that Dr. Phil made to them for a segment on his show about Britney Spears.
Meanwhile, there are also reports that tests from Cedars-Sinai Hospital have been leaked to the press, showing that Britney tested clean for both alcohol and drugs during her recent forced stay at their facility.

Commissioner Gordon signed a specific court order in mid-December, specifically ordering Britney Spears to attend the deposition that had already been ordered by the court to occur, and which had been scheduled at least twice prior to that court-ordered date.
Her reason for the last no-show? She was sick, although TMZ reported that she out playing with friends later that same day.

Yesterday, according to the Associated Press, Transformers star Shia LaBeouf was in a Chicago Walgreen’s store, and a security guard told LaBeouf that he needed to leave because LeBeouf looked like he was drunk. It was around 2:30 in the morning.
Shia LaBeouf refused, so the guard held him and called police. The Chicago police arrested LaBeouf for criminal trespass. LaBeouf posted bond and was back out on the streets by 7. Interestingly, he was not booked on any charges related to being intoxicated ….
What’s criminal trespass? And what’s with this guard detaining someone? Was that illegal?

TMZ.COM is reporting that Nicole Ritchie is on her way to Canada with fiance Joel Madden (who has a gig in Calgary with his band Good Charlotte) although her DUI trial was set to start this morning. How can she just leave the country on trial day? Didn’t Paris Hilton get in trouble for just being a few minutes late to her hearing?
Well, the story is that the DA offered up a plea bargain, and Nicole’s lawyers are working on her behalf, finalizing the deal. Maybe the reported documentation that Nicole Ritchie had at the ready, on the unreliability of the drug testing performed on her, was a deal maker?
You’ve seen plea bargains on TV; Law & Order has them all the time. So, if you’re in the hoosegow and the word “plea” comes up, what should you do? What is plea bargaining, exactly?
