Oct. 24th 2007

americangangsterposter1.jpgYou can see Ridley Scott’s new film American Gangster, staring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe, right now.  No, it won’t be released in US theaters until next month.  No, it’s not a trailer, and it’s not a trick.

It’s the top download over at The Pirate Bay.  Is this safe?  Should you do it?  What else is over at Pirate Bay?

Harry Potter Online Spoilers - The Race is On!!! Danger!!

Jul. 18th 2007

hpdhcover.jpgSeveral BitTorrent sites claim to have  Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows online.  Some are offering juicy tidbits; others, the entire book (like PirateBay).

Someone has taken the time to take photos of each and every page, posting images of the text online - along with a part of his hand …. Someone else has taken the time to read the images, and then type them out, in a version also available at PirateBay.   There’s a veritable smorgesborg of Deathly Hallows at PirateBay today.

Spoilers can be found at Zendrul (synopsis) and Insecure while SpoilerBoy’s site has been taken down.   Add to this that the spoilers don’t agree - what happened to Ron, for example, differs from site to site.  Some of this stuff is fake.

OJ’s “If I Did It” and SICKO by Michael Moore: Online 4 Free

Jun. 20th 2007

sicko-poster-425.jpgTMZ.COM reports that it has “obtained” a copy of OJ’s manuscript “If I Did It,” and follows that up with an excerpt from the document — a purported description of the murder itself.  OJ relates this in the first person, and a mysterious pal named “Charlie,” is present at the scene.  Who’s Charlie?  Doesn’t say.  You can download the entire thing online, right now, for free — according to LinkBunnies.

Meanwhile, Michael Moore’s new documentary, SICKO, was available online for free on MySpace, provided by at least two different MySpace pages, as well as  YouTube and BitTorrent.  I couldn’t find an online copy available today….

What if you download this free stuff?  Will the Copyright Police be knocking on your door?
