Many people know that Thanksgiving is the biggest period of travel across the United States due to the extremely large number of individuals making their way to spend the holiday with friends and family.

However, some people are not aware that according to many reports it is Thanksgiving (not New Year’s Eve as is often assumed) that represents the biggest spike in the rate of DWI and alcohol-related arrests, accidents, and fatalities.

Thanksgiving is a time for family and togetherness and with family gatherings often come celebratory activities and a higher rate of alcohol consumption.
