Witnesses claim the intoxicated actor started verbally insulting Bernfeld, then put her in a choke hold and when she was released from that put his hands around her beck and dragged her across the table. Hirsch claims he was too intoxicated to remember the event and checked himself into rehab following the incident. He accepted the plea deal of pleading to misdemeanor assault instead of going to trial for felony assault, which could have landed him up to 5 years in prison. Hirsch will spend 15 days in jail for his plea deal.
