After two months of investigation, St. Tammany Parish’s Narcotics Task Force arrested 37-year-old Joseph Jackson for his marijuana operation in his home in Mandeville. His sophisticated system of lighting, watering and insulation did not cause any suspicion from neighbors, which is why, investigators believe, that he was en route to expanding his operation. The plants had the ability to produce 7 lbs of marijuana every 4 months, which is a street value of nearly $30,000. The search also lead to the discovery of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia in Jackson’s home, and he is charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine, distribution, intent to distribute, and possession of paraphernalia. He was released last Friday on a $100,000 bail, and will soon be taken to court.
